FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

If there is a question you would like the answer to that is not on the list, please contact us.

  • How much does it hurt?
It all depends on your own pain tolerance and where the placement of your tattoo is, but it's a very bearable pain which you can subdue by listening to music, reading or talking to a friend. Also it might be a good idea to bring some sugary sweets or energy drinks to keep your blood sugar levels up.
  • How long does it take?
Tattoos can take all different lengths of time depending on the size of your tattoo, the detail and whether it's black and grey or colour, as you can expect full colour pieces take longer due to making sure your tattoo heals solid and is as vibrant as possible. But also realism black and grey pieces take long amounts of time to get all the small details and highlights, any amount of time is necessary as you don't want a rushed tattoo!
  • I can't find what I want can you help?
Of course we can! We love to do custom tattoos as we don't have flash on our walls (ready drawn designs to tattoo) so if you want to speak to one of our artists we can get a better understanding of what you want and how we can make it work for you, of course it always helps if you have rough sketches or other images for reference (we can't help you if you can't help us)
  • When should I not get a tattoo?
Firstly you shouldn't get a tattoo if you are under the influence of drink or drugs, it doesn't help the artist or yourself as you tend to fidget more than usual and won't be able to tolerate the pain, it doesn't make it hurt any less and in most cases make it hurt more. Also it's not a good idea to get a tattoo if you have a cold or don't feel 100% as the tattoo may hurt more and you won't be able to sit for as long.
  • What should I do before my tattoo?
You should get as much rest as possible before your tattoo and have a good meal before you come if you can as you want to be in your best physical state as getting a tattoo does physically and mentally take a lot from you and afterwards you can feel quite drained- we recommend you bring energy drinks, water and sugary sweets/chocolate to keep you feeling good.
  • How do I care for my tattoo?
We have a whole page for you to read through on how to properly care for your tattoo with dos and donts- read through this carefully as the aftercare and healing process of your tattoo is just as important as getting a good tattoo in the first place!
  • Why do I have to pay a deposit when I book?
When you book a tattoo you are taking a slot of time throughout our working day, everyone that books has a certain amount of allocated time, so we take deposits with bookings as a guarantee that you will turn up at your given time otherwise that slot could've been allocated to another client. Every minute counts in this industry as time is money! All deposits are non-refundable and only transferable under certain circumstances.
